IDQ1127006 UPDATED Warning Summary at issue time Nil. For the latest warning information please check the Bureau's web site www.bom.gov.au/qld Weather Situation A high over the northern Tasman Sea extends a weak ridge over southern Queensland waters. A surface trough and associated south to southeasterly wind change is expected to enter southern waters during late Thursday afternoon, extending north throughout Capricornia waters during Friday.

Wednesday until midnight Winds Variable 5 to 10 knots, tending northwest to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon and evening. Seas 0.7 to 1.2 metres. Swell Less than 1.5 metres. Patchy rain in the morning, scattered showers and gusty thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Thursday Winds North to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots north of Gladstone during the morning, otherwise north to northwesterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas 1.2 to 1.7 metres. Swell Less than 1.5 metres. Scattered showers and gusty thunderstorms afternoon and evening. Friday Winds North to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots, shifting south to southeasterly 20 to 25 knots during the early morning.

Wednesday until midnight Winds Southwesterly 10 to 15 knots, tending variable 5 to 10 knots during the morning, then north to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon and evening. Seas 0.7 to 1 metre. Patchy rain early, scattered showers and gusty thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Thursday Winds North to northwesterly 15 to 20 knots ahead of a south to southeasterly change 25 to 30 knots near midnight. Seas 1.5 metres. Scattered showers and gusty thunderstorms afternoon and evening. Friday Winds South to southeasterly 25 to 30 knots, decreasing to 20 to 25 knots during the day.

Seas 0.8 to 1.8 metres. Swell Less than 1.5 metres. Patchy rain in the morning. Isolated showers and thunderstorms over northern waters in the afternoon and evening. Thursday Winds North to northwesterly 20 to 25 knots, easing to 15 to 20 knots during the day, before a south to southwesterly change 25 to 30 knots from the south late afternoon and evening. Seas 2 to 2.5 metres. Swell Less than 1.5 metres. Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Friday Winds Southerly 25 to 30 knots, decreasing to south to southeasterly 20 to 25 knots later in the day.

Friday Winds Southerly 20 to 30 knots, tending south to southeasterly 20 to 25 knots during the day and to 15 to 20 knots during the evening.
