The fishing around the Bundaberg area over the past few weeks has once again been sensational, in both the estuaries and offshore.
The offshore areas have been producing some monster red emperor and big trout, as well as sweetlip, parrot and big hussar.
There has also been a lot of large pelagic species about, such as big spanish mackerel, cobia, tuna and even marlin and sailfish.
The local rivers have been producing some cracker fish with some big barra and threadfin about and some big jack and fingermark.
There have been some good flathead, bream and juvenile mullloway testing out the light gear and plastics.
The last moon saw some monster whiting caught out along the sand flats on worms and yabbies.
There has also been a good run of crabs throughout most of the local rivers as well.
Good fishing,
Tim Mulhall
