The fresh has now stopped flowing down the rivers in the Bundaberg area. Although the rivers are still a bit fresh, the next set of tides will push some salt back up the river systems.
The fishing has still been great. Some good catches of grunter and whiting have been landed from around the gravel beds.
The fresh pushed some king threadfin and barra down to the mouths of the rivers, so this will be an option on the bigger tides, with big lures for big barra.
Some good bream have been taken up river but you do have to put up with a catfish or two between bream.
The surf beaches are producing a good feed of whiting and dart on worms as bait.
There is still a good run of mud crabs around if you can find a spot to put your pots.
Till next time,
