Finally, the rains have eased around the Bundaberg area and the fishing is still great.
The local rivers have just come to life again with some small bait prawns, mullet, and herring, etc.
The big fish aren’t too far away with reports of big grunter, bream and some monster flathead on the sand flats.
Some of the deeper holes are still holding big barra and king salmon. Lures have been the go with Strada lures and Barra Classics trolled or cast.
Some of the local beaches have been producing some beaut dart and whiting with prawns and worms being the gun baits.
The Isis Impoundment (Lake Gregory) is still producing some great bass fishing sessions on surface lures and Blades.
