Fish Report - 5th January 2012

Well, the fishing is still red-hot around the Bundaberg area, both offshore and in the rivers.

On the days when you can head offshore there are some big trout, red emperor, sweetlip and the usual mix of hussar, parrot and stripeys.

Some big cobia and spanish mackerel have started to show up out wide and live baits are doing well.

The rivers are still producing some fantastic fish. Big bream, grunter and jacks have been a few of the target species. Some big king threadfin are about in good numbers. Most of the king have been caught on lures – mainly Blades and Tranzams.

The Isis Impoundment (Lake Gregory) is still producing some red hot bass fishing on surface and Blades

Till next time,
