on orders over $125It is shaping up to be one of the best summers than any of us can remember for fishing our local area.
While the bigger dams have been slow, the smaller impoundments have been fishing well; especially for decent sized bass. These have been taken on a spread of different lures with blades still taking the fore-front.
Rivers and creeks have been fishing well for the anglers using lures. This last week has seen some excellent barra, threadfin, jacks and flathead taken from all of the major catchments. There has also been some patches of bream, queenfish and estuary cod.
Offshore has also been fishing well when the winds have allowed. The wider grounds have turned up some big red emperor while closer patches have fired with big snapper. A handful of spanish have been poking around and are well worth a look for over the next few weeks.
Muddies have been slow but the prawns have made up for them. Woodgate is still producing good quantities of big prawns.
