on orders over $125The weather sure is warming up around the Bundaberg region, and some of the summer species are well and truly on the chew.
We have seen some awesome jacks come out of most of the local estuary systems, mainly by live-baiting or trolling lures along the rock walls. Some of the deeper holes in the Burnett River are producing some jew, cod and salmon, again mainly on live bait.
There is still the usual mix of bream, whiting and flathead about to keep everyone interested.
Offshore has been fishing well between wind and reef closures. There are still a few big reds about as well as coral trout, sweetlip and parrot.
There are plenty of pelagic species around with spanish mackerel and cobia being the most targeted.
Over the past month we have seen heaps of juvenile black marlin along the coast with over a dozen caught amongst the leads at Burnett Heads while the guys have been fishing for school mackerel.
So, if you want to have a bit of fun, troll a few skirted lures around and hook a marlin.
Lake Monduran is turning it on with barra catches being more common with up to ten barra caught per session, with Jackal Squirrel and Lucky Craft lures being favourites.
