on orders over $125We saw a week of reasonable weather this week around the Bundaberg area, with better than average light winds and this finally gave an opportunity to allow plenty of boats offshore. Although the tides were big there was still some quality fish caught.
The shelf produced some jobfish, pearl perch and some big snapper. Place like Warregoes produced some good coral trout and sweetlip. The Five-Degree Patch and the Northern and Southern Gutters produced some big red jew, trout and grass sweetlip.
There are plenty of pelagic species about such as cobia, spanish mackerel, tuna and even some big dolphin fish.
The local river mouths are producing some big school mackerel, trevally and queenfish with plenty being caught on poppers and metal jigs.
The rivers are bouncing back nicely after all the big issues with flooding, and the bait has started to move back up the systems.
Plenty of fish have been caught with some monster bream being caught on lures. There has also been good numbers of flathead, salmon and jack all being caught. The break walls have been producing some big mulloway jew which has been a new species for a lot of anglers. Some of these fish have been close to 10kg in weight.
Some of the rivers have schools of queenies and trevally moving up them. Catching them on small poppers has been great fun.
Lake Monduran is still producing some red-hot barra sessions. The barra have been caught in the backs of the bays on Instinct Twitch shallow lures, with Jackall Squirrels and Lucky Craft Pointers as deep divers.
