on orders over $125The offshore fishing around Bundaberg has been blown out by strong winds, but there is still a run of school mackerel around the river mouths. Trolling spoons and small diving Minnows is the way to go.
The local rivers are still producing some great fishing with the sand flats giving up whiting and flathead.
The rock walls are producing some good bream and grunter. Some of the deeper holes are holding jacks, cod and fingermark. Live baiting or using Jackall Tranzams are a couple of hot tips.
There is still a good number of salmon getting about – both blue and king. Most of them are being caught along the mud banks on either live baits such as prawns or mullet, but most are being caught by using large blade lures with the Strada X-Blade being a hot favourite.
The last lot of rain we had got the prawns and mud crabs out of hiding. The prawns aren’t overly big yet but by next full moon they will be good. The mud crabs are reasonably full and well worth the effort.
