Burnett River - Mundubbera

Mundubbera, (an aboriginal name for "meeting of the waters"), is 180km from Bundy via Mt Perry. Just to the west of town the three rivers of Burnett, Auburn and Boyne Rivers meet.
The Mundubbera area has a mixture of of natural water courses and the Jones weir. The Jones Weir wall is on the river right in town, but the boat ramp is 5km out off Coonambula Road. The road in is dirt so care is to be taken if it has been raining. The boat ramp is single-lane concrete and has a fair angle into the water.
The waterways have been stocked with mainly barra, yellowbelly and bass.
The Auburn River offers a few spots to cast a line from the bank with its main species being yellow belly, catfish and spangled perch. There is basic bush camping at Aurburn River National Park.
