The Marine Rescue Queensland Bundaberg Family Fishing Classic is one of the region’s most iconic community fishing events, drawing families and anglers of all experience levels together for a huge weekend of prizes, fun and great fishing. Held each year at the Marine Rescue Base at Burnett Heads, the Classic celebrates Bundaberg’s fishing lifestyle with a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, on-water safety messaging and plenty of opportunities to wet a line across our rivers, estuaries and offshore grounds.
Whether you’re chasing estuary species with the kids or heading offshore in search of a trophy fish, the Classic is designed for all ages and experience levels. With major prize draws, raffles, food vans and entertainment throughout the weekend, it’s become a must-attend event for locals and visitors alike - while supporting the vital volunteer work Marine Rescue Bundaberg does for our boating and fishing community.
