Description

The Shimano Curado BFS XG Baitcaster Reel is a bait finesse specialist designed for lightweight lure applications. Weighing approximately 175 grams with 3.5kg of drag, the reel features an ultra-lightweight shallow spool designed for thinner diameter lines. The Finesse Tune Brake (FTB) system moves the braking unit from the spool to the side-plate, reducing spool weight for minimal startup force. Unlike traditional magnetic brakes, the FTB capitalises on centrifugal force to automatically adjust braking only when needed. Anglers can fine-tune performance via external dial or by adding/removing individual magnets. The Hagane Body provides exceptional rigidity whilst X-Ship gearing ensures smooth operation under load. With Exciting Drag Sound for audible feedback, Cross Carbon Drag, S3D balanced spool technology, Super Free Spool, and S A-RB corrosion-resistant bearings, this reel excels across freshwater and saltwater applications.
