Description
The Galvanised Sand Anchor is a flat-fluke Danforth-style anchor designed for use in sand and mud seabeds, delivering reliable holding power through its wide plate flukes that dig in quickly and hold firmly as the anchor rode is tensioned. Manufactured from hot-dip galvanised steel for superior corrosion resistance, the anchor is suited to small to medium-sized vessels and is a popular choice for Australian recreational boating where sand and mud bottoms are common anchoring conditions.
A retrieval eye fitted to the crown allows the anchor to be freed if the flukes become snagged, whilst the tilting shaft design enables the anchor to be stored flat when not in use. The heavy-duty plate shank and hot-dip galvanised finish deliver the durability and corrosion resistance required for reliable long-term performance.
