Description
The 6mm 4 Prong Reef Anchor is a compact, lightweight galvanised anchor designed for temporary holding over reef and rocky seabed, suited to small tinnies, kayaks, and vessels up to approximately 3 metres. The solid shaft design with prongs welded directly to the shaft provides effective weight distribution for reliable sinking, whilst the hot-dip galvanised coating delivers corrosion resistance for regular salt water use. The anchor is supplied with straight prongs for safe transport and requires bending to the correct angle before first deployment.
The 4 prong reef design allows retrieval even when snagged, as the prongs will straighten under sustained retrieval load, reducing the risk of losing the anchor in coral and rubble bottoms. Vessels anchored with reef anchors should not be left unattended, and anchor selection should always be based on the operator's experience and the conditions being encountered.
