Description
The 10mm 4 Prong Reef Anchor is a mid-range galvanised anchor built for temporary holding over reef and rocky bottoms, suited to vessels up to approximately 5 metres. The solid shaft construction with four prongs welded directly to the shaft provides the weight and holding characteristics required for reliable anchoring in coral, rubble, and mixed hard bottom environments, whilst the hot-dip galvanised finish delivers lasting corrosion resistance in salt water. The anchor is supplied with straight prongs for safe freighting and must be bent to the required angle before first deployment.
When snagged in reef structure, the prongs will straighten under sustained retrieval load, allowing the anchor to be recovered rather than lost. This design characteristic makes the 4 prong reef anchor particularly well suited to tropical reef fishing where anchor loss to coral snagging is a practical concern. Vessels should not be left unattended whilst anchored with a reef anchor.
