Description
Star Brite Wheel Bearing Grease Cartridge 397g is a marine-grade NLGI #2 grease specifically formulated to protect boat trailer wheel bearings from the accelerated corrosion and wash-out that occurs when trailers are repeatedly submerged during launching and retrieval in salt and fresh water environments. The water-insoluble formula is highly resistant to wash-out, maintaining its lubricating film on bearing surfaces even after immersion, whilst the corrosion inhibitors within the formula guard against rust and the salt-air and saltwater attack common in coastal boating. The wide operating temperature range of -17 to 162 degrees Celsius ensures the grease maintains its protective properties across the full range of conditions encountered in Australian trailering, from cold winter mornings to summer road surfaces.
The 397g cartridge format is designed for use with a standard grease gun, making re-packing and topping up trailer wheel bearings straightforward and clean. Beyond wheel bearings, this grease is also recommended for water pump bearings, hinges, pins, winches, and anchor chain reels throughout the marine environment. Meeting ASTM D4950 GC-LB performance classification requirements, this grease delivers the standard of protection required to keep trailer bearings serviceable and reliable throughout a demanding boating season.
