The Daiwa Bait Junkie 2X Heavy Wire Jig Heads represent two and a half years of development in collaboration between Daiwa Australia's product development team, long-time Daiwa angler Kris Hickson, and Australian lure-making stalwart Dan Stead, elevating performance for an often-overlooked category. Built around quality BKK 2X strong heavy wire hooks in combination with Daiwa's SaqSas hook coating, a super-slippery Teflon-like coating that increases penetrating power of the hook point providing superior hook-up ratios. The totally unique bait keeper evolved over 18 months and 25 different prototypes, designed to perform exceptionally well with Daiwa's stretchy ELASTOMAX material whilst eliminating the annoying occurrence of plastics being pulled down over the keeper and balling up into a twisted mess. The head design is a mostly cylinder-shaped concept with a flat back for optimal clean rigging and a flattened chin which when used with buoyant materials offers a tail-up posture when the bait comes to rest on the bottom, even in very hard bottom situations where bullet-shaped heads cannot. Each package comes in a resealable ziplock bag to keep jig heads free from wet tackle boxes where rust can ruin hooks, with removable stickers indicating weight and size that can be re-attached to tackle boxes for easy identification.
