The Daiwa 22 Freeswimmer BR is a purpose-built saltwater baitrunner reel developed through five years of collaboration between Daiwa USA, Australia, New Zealand, and Japanese engineers. The Bite'N'Run system allows anglers to set precise free-spool tension via an adjustable dial on the reel's base, with a wide range suitable for everything from unweighted baits for finicky feeders to strong settings for live baiting large baits. Built around a sturdy carbon composite frame with Air Rotor technology, the Freeswimmer BR features internals carefully sealed with rubber seals to IPX6 rating for true saltwater protection. The ATD drag system delivers smooth, consistent performance once the reel is engaged by turning the handle, whilst Tough Digigear provides precision-cut gearing for reliable power transmission.
