The Daiwa 23 Freeswimmer BR represents the latest evolution of Daiwa's purpose-built saltwater baitrunner system, developed through extensive collaboration between Daiwa's global teams. The Bite'N'Run technology allows precise adjustment of free-spool tension via the dial on the reel's base, accommodating everything from unweighted baits for finicky feeders to strong settings for live baiting large baits. Built around a robust carbon composite frame with the latest generation AIRDRIVE Rotor, this reel delivers lightweight, responsive operation with reduced start-up inertia. The ATD Type-L drag provides softer, more progressive performance that's perfect for protecting light lines whilst maintaining consistent pressure during the fight. Internals are carefully sealed with rubber seals for saltwater protection, whilst Tough Digigear ensures perfectly machined rotation and smoothness under load. The Bite'N'Run system disengages automatically when the handle is turned, engaging the strike drag for secure hooksets. With a machined aluminium handle featuring EVA power knob for enhanced leverage, the Freeswimmer BR is ideal for live or dead bait fishing applications.
