The Shimano 24 Stradic SW has been renewed with enhanced features to deliver exceptional performance in harsh saltwater environments, building upon the legendary Stradic name with power, toughness, and waterproof performance. The 4000 model is based on the highly acclaimed 23 Stradic and features Infinity Xross, Infinity Drive, and Anti-Twist Fins to improve gear durability and reduce line trouble for even greater ease of use. Each model from 5000 to 10000 is equipped with the X-Tough Drag system that sandwiches the spool from top and bottom, improving durability, heat dissipation, and maximum drag force whilst being perfectly suited for heavyweight lures and fights with large fish. The reel features Shimano's iron-clad X-Shield and X-Protect waterproof structures that provide dependable sealing at critical locations throughout the body, with the IPX8 waterproof rating on larger models ensuring high reliability in extreme saltwater conditions. Hagane Gear and Hagane Body construction delivers unmatched longevity and smoothness, whilst X-Ship technology provides improved gear durability by supporting the pinion gear on both ends with bearings to maintain precise alignment under heavy loads. The aluminium body and spool, combined with S A-RB shielded anti-rust bearings and One Piece Bail, create a reel built to excel in the brutal saltwater environment for offshore applications.
