The Shimano 25 Ultegra FD delivers reliable performance with powerful winding and durable construction, incorporating flagship Shimano technologies at an accessible price point that makes premium features available to more anglers. The Infinity Xross technology extends the cold-pressed Hagane Gear tooth surface, distributing force load over a wider area to prevent stress points and reduce wear for enhanced longevity even under demanding conditions. The Infinity Drive structure creates exceptionally light winding by supporting the main shaft with a unique low-friction bushing that significantly decreases frictional resistance, whilst the Anti-Twist Fin ensures even line lay on the spool and minimises the occurrence of wind knots for more effective fishing. Built with Shimano's advanced Ci4+ carbon fibre reinforced resin material that is 2.5 times more rigid than conventional resin, the body and rotor are reduced in size and weight whilst improving lightness and rigidity. X-Protect technology prevents water from entering internal structures through a non-contact labyrinth design combined with water-repellent treatment, helping to reduce the risk of corrosion in both freshwater and saltwater environments. The AR-C Spool features a special ring shape that creates a rectifying effect on the line for both suppression of line trouble and long casting performance, whilst G Free Body technology shifts the centre of gravity closer to the rod for improved balance and reduced fatigue.
