Description
The Shimano Nasci FD delivers high-end performance in a versatile and user-friendly platform that represents exceptional value for anglers pursuing everything from freshwater species to inshore saltwater applications. This new model incorporates advanced technologies inherited from higher-end Shimano models including Infinity Drive, One-Piece Bail, and Anti-Twist Fin, making the Nasci an even more reliable reel for serious anglers whilst achieving a lighter weight than previous versions. The Infinity Drive structure has evolved from conventional X-Ship to create an even more powerful structure that allows active reeling under high loads with exceptionally light winding, whilst the pinion gear is supported by the spool shaft to reduce rotational resistance without compromising gear strength. The completely seamless One-Piece Bail is aesthetically pleasing whilst being trouble-free, allowing line to travel unimpeded to the line roller with reduced friction and decreased chances of tangles. The Anti-Twist Fin features elastic fins installed close to the line roller section to reduce line slack and prevent the line from dropping off the bottom of the spool or wrapping around whilst twisted. Built with cold-forged Hagane Gear and X-Ship technology for lasting smoothness and gear durability, the reel features CoreProtect water resistance that prevents water intrusion through a non-contact water-repellent treatment whilst maintaining the reel's original smooth rotation. The high-strength resin body provides excellent rigidity with optimal flexibility, whilst the aluminium handle is shaped to suppress flex for efficient power transfer.
