The Garmin GPSMAP 1653xsv represents the pinnacle of the GPSMAP x3 series with a massive 16-inch full HD IPS touchscreen that delivers exceptional clarity and detail for professional marine applications. This chartplotter features built-in sonar capabilities supporting ultra-high-definition ClearVü and SideVü scanning sonar alongside CHIRP traditional sonar (transducer required, sold separately). The stunning 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS display with edge-to-edge glass design provides brilliant colour reproduction and wide viewing angles, while the slimline design borders allow versatile dash configurations for both new installations and retrofits.
Designed for fast, responsive operation, the 1653xsv features impressive processing power that benefits all onboard sensors including sonar and radar while enhancing the user experience across the entire network. A worldwide basemap comes preloaded, and users can add optional Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+ premium mapping via microSD card for detailed coastal and inland charts with Auto Guidance+ technology. The chartplotter supports the full lineup of Garmin Panoptix sonar including the award-winning LiveScope live-scanning sonar for real-time underwater imaging.
The 1653xsv features dual microSD card slots supporting up to 1 TB capacity each, stores up to 5,000 waypoints and 100 routes, and provides 50,000 active track points across 50 saved tracks. Constructed from polycarbonate plastic and die-cast aluminium for durability, the unit weighs 4.45 kg and operates from 10-32 Vdc with an 8-amp fast-acting fuse. Full NMEA 2000 and Garmin Marine Network compatibility enables seamless integration with sensors, displays, autopilots and other marine electronics.
