Description

The GME ABL012 double swivel rectangular antenna base provides a versatile plug-and-play mounting solution suitable for VHF, 27MHz, AIS and AM/FM antenna whips from the AW36xx range with configurable single or double swivel operation for flexible installation in challenging situations. Utilising GME's integrated PL259 connection technique where the coaxial cable remains connected to the base rather than the antenna whip, this system permits installation or security removal of the whip in seconds whilst a splash-proof cap provides connector protection when the whip is removed.

The ground-independent design features fast-fit FME connectors requiring no soldering of plugs, colour-coded whip/base inserts for easy frequency identification (VHF, AM/FM, 27MHz), and includes 5-metre white low-loss coaxial cable with pre-fitted connectors ready for immediate installation. The rectangular base construction enables assembly in either single or double swivel configuration allowing the antenna to fold down flat in all situations whilst accommodating sloped cabin sides and decks, providing Australian-designed marine antenna mounting solution built to withstand harsh marine environments with UV-stabilised materials ensuring superior operational life.
