Description
Description
The GME MT605G is an Australian-made Class 2 manual activation EPIRB operating on the internationally monitored 406MHz distress frequency, incorporating a 66-channel GNSS receiver supporting both GPS and Galileo satellite systems to reduce the search area for rescue authorities to within 100 metres of the beacon's position. Designed, engineered, and manufactured in Australia by GME - a company with over 35 years of experience producing emergency beacons - the MT605G represents the current generation of life-saving technology for vessels operating in Australian and international waters.
Three integrated signal technologies work together to maximise the chances of a successful rescue: the 406MHz digital coded distress signal identifies the vessel and contacts rescue authorities within minutes, the GNSS positioning provides precise location data with zero warm-up time, and the 121.5MHz homing signal guides rescue teams directly to the beacon. A 10-year battery life, 6-year warranty, and self-test function ensure the MT605G remains operationally ready throughout its service life, whilst Cospas-Sarsat approval confirms worldwide recognition of distress signals transmitted by the device.
