The GME MT610G is an Australian-made 406MHz Personal Locator Beacon featuring an integrated 72-channel GPS and Galileo receiver, representing GME's most compact and lightweight emergency beacon design whilst delivering the full emergency alerting capability required to summon rescue in a life-threatening situation. Designed and manufactured in Australia by GME - the only Australian manufacturer of emergency beacons - the MT610G provides coastal and offshore boaters, bushwalkers, four-wheel drivers, and remote workers with a compact and affordable personal safety solution.
The 406MHz digital distress signal contacts Cospas-Sarsat rescue authorities immediately upon activation, with the GPS position data transmitted alongside the distress message reducing the search area significantly. A 121.5MHz homing signal assists rescue teams in locating the beacon precisely once they are in the vicinity, whilst an IP68 waterproof rating, inherently buoyant design, and 7-year battery life ensure the MT610G is ready to perform when it matters. Cospas-Sarsat Class 2 certification confirms compliance with the latest international emergency beacon standards.
