This heavy-duty model features full metal construction with Daiwa's rigid Monocoque aluminium body housing a larger drive gear for increased torque and exceptional power transmission, whilst the aluminium AirDrive Rotor with its unique sphere-inspired shape maintains low inertia whilst offering high structural strength. The cold-forged machine-cut Tough Digigear with special surface treatment delivers extreme precision and ideal meshing, whilst larger models feature high-strength pinion gears proven in Saltiga reels for maximum reliability under the heaviest conditions.
The ATD TOUGH carbon washer drag system with 12 ball bearings total provides smooth reliable performance reducing drag bite during operation, whilst MagSealed technology protects the main shaft and line roller from water and debris intrusion ensuring consistent performance in both freshwater and saltwater environments. The crank-shaped AirDrive Bail ensures reliable line feed even when using heavy jigs and high-strength artificials, whilst AirDrive Design reduces rotational inertia providing a lighter more responsive winding feel without sacrificing strength making this reel engineered to perform at the limit and beyond whether you're locking up on powerful fish or grinding out long battles.
