Description
Description
The Daiwa 26 Saltist Hyper Spinning Rod is the 2026 release of one of Australia's most respected mid-tier saltwater rod ranges, receiving its first major redesign in many years and elevating the Saltist Hyper tradition with Daiwa's latest blank and grip technologies. At the core is HVF Nanoplus graphite blank technology combined with X45 blank construction, creating a rod that's lightweight, crisp, and highly sensitive whilst maintaining the strength required to handle the harsh demands of Australian saltwater fishing. The advanced X45 construction dramatically reduces blank twist under load, improving casting accuracy, lifting power, and overall rod responsiveness when fighting hard-pulling fish.
Two-piece models feature Daiwa's V-Joint ferrule technology, which uses a bias wrap construction within the ferrule to eliminate weakness and flat spots, delivering a two-piece rod that's as strong and acts just like a one-piece blank. The Complete Control Grip system introduces an angler-focused design with enhanced grip comfort and security during long fights and heavy drag applications, with the uniquely shaped foregrip allowing the angler's finger to naturally lock into position when under load for improved leverage and reduced fatigue.
Purpose-built to suit a wide variety of Australian species, techniques, and fishing environments, this spinning rod tackles missions ranging from throwing stickbaits for tuna and reef species over shallow coral flats, to casting timber hardbodies off the breakwalls for mulloway, to working soft plastics for snapper, kingfish, and trevally on the reefs. The combination of HVF Nanoplus sensitivity, X45 twist resistance, V-Joint strength, and Complete Control Grip ergonomics makes this an outstanding mid-tier saltwater spin rod for serious Aussie anglers.
