The Penn Spinfisher VII continues over six decades of the Spinfisher name delivering great performance, value, and durability into the modern era for saltwater anglers. Built around a full metal body and sideplate that establishes a rigid framework to maintain precise alignment and smooth internal workings, this reel is designed to coexist with saltwater and the big fish that swim there. IPX5 sealing protects both the body and spool design from water and contaminants entering through accidental splashes, spray, or waves, keeping the gearbox and drag system performing at high levels in all conditions. The sealed HT-100 carbon fibre drag washers are housed in a fully sealed spool to provide the stopping power needed for big saltwater fish, whilst the upgraded all-brass CNC Gear Technology keeps internals in precise alignment under heavy loads. The five-plus-one sealed stainless steel bearing system with instant anti-reverse ensures smooth, reliable operation. The fully sealed, braid-ready spool with line capacity rings eliminates the need for backing, whilst the versatile line clip accommodates all line sizes from thin braid to heavy monofilament. With automatic bail trip on smaller models and manual bail trip on larger sizes for heavy-duty control, the Spinfisher VII is built to last in every possible way across applications from inshore flats to offshore pelagics.
