The Ugly Stik Gold Overhead Rod delivers legendary strength and sensitivity with over 40 years of Australian rod building experience behind its development. Featuring the newly engineered Howald Process with Triple-Built construction around an internal spiral fibreglass core, the blank combines parallel glass fibres infused with pigmented polyester resin to create a rod with better balance that is virtually indestructible. The latest inter-core laminate design surrounds graphite shaft fibres in the outer walls with a rigid-wrap structure, providing greater stiffness and superior strength throughout the blank shaft. This innovative construction creates a better taper from the backbone to the tip, delivering extra sensitivity and improved casting performance. Fuji New Concept Guides feature specially designed higher supports for tangle-free fishing, finished with Fuji exclusive black polished stainless steel frames and aluminium oxide inserts within deep pressed frames. Fuji DPS graphite and TCS trigger reel seats are incorporated throughout the range, whilst comfortable tapered EVA grips with Ugly Stik etching complete the dependable package.
