Fishing Report - 18th January 2018
With this being the last weekend of the school holidays, I can’t think of a better way to finish the break than by hooking into a few fish around the Bundaberg region.
With this being the last weekend of the school holidays, I can’t think of a better way to finish the break than by hooking into a few fish around the Bundaberg region.
Well, we are now a few weeks into the New Year and boy, has it gone quickly! But, as each week passes, the local rivers and creeks around the Bundaberg area are cleaning up day by day.
Firstly, I trust that everyone had a happy and safe New Years and that you all saw in 2018 in style.
With a bit of luck, the weather in 2018 will be kinder than last year, giving us all more chance to get out and wet a line in the Bundaberg region.
Firstly, we hope you all enjoyed your Christmas weekend and hopefully, Santa brought you all some new fishing gear to use in 2018.
How good was the weather around the Bundaberg area over the break? It had to be some of the best weather we have had all year.
Looking forward into the Christmas break, it is looking like it’s going to be some of the best weather we have had around the Bundaberg area all year. So, hopefully we’ll see some fantastic offshore fishing done, but as always, keep an eye out for any up-to-date weather forecasts before heading
The fishing around the Bundaberg area has remained surprisingly good, considering the amount of fresh water pushing down most of the local systems.
Well, around the Bundaberg area, we sure have copped our fair share of rain over the past week, sending more fresh down most of our river systems. This will make the fishing very interesting, as this will push most of the species back down towards the river mouths.
With Christmas only a few weeks away, I’m sure all the school children and parents can’t wait to get out and wet a line over the break.
The offshore fishing around the Bundaberg area will be limited this weekend due to the recent south-easterly change, so any form of offshore fishing will be coastal and around the river mouths. The early morning tops of the tides will be best.
Once again, for this weekend around the Bundaberg area, it looks like most of the fishing will be restricted to the local rivers and creeks, due to the south-easterlies that just don’t seem to stop.
