The My Lure Box Barra Bites 175mm Soft Plastic Lure pack is a ready-to-fish soft plastic kit developed by John Costello at My Lure Box Australia, drawing on over 20 years of designing and testing lures for serious Australian anglers. The 175mm body profile is a perfect garfish imitation for triggering big barramundi, with a tail action and body design tuned to roll and shimmy on the slow roll, twitch erratically on the lift-and-drop, and stay locked together through repeated hook-ups.
Each pack includes 4 x Barra Bite 175mm bodies with 2 already pre-rigged on My Lure Box's custom-built Extra Strong 1/2oz Easy-Rig jig heads, which are clear coated and painted for added durability and finish. The Easy-Rig jig heads include an underbelly stinger attachment point, allowing anglers to retrofit a stinger treble for grabbing short-striking fish. Field tested at Lake Monduran with outstanding results, this lure is particularly deadly when fish are being finicky and easily spooked, providing the natural profile and subtle action that converts wary follows into committed strikes. Purpose-built for chasing impoundment and tidal barramundi, this kit also doubles up effectively on big mangrove jack, threadfin salmon, mulloway, Murray cod, and even offshore species.
