The Daiwa 26 BG Bluewater Overhead Rod is the 2026 release of one of Australia's most popular entry-level offshore overhead rod ranges, combining performance and value to deliver Aussie anglers an ideal entry point into serious bluewater angling that ticks plenty of boxes without breaking the bank. The blank features unidirectional wrapped graphite/fibreglass construction, delivering incredible resilience, an unwavering backbone, and the lifting power required to pull hard-fighting fish up from deep water and away from structure. This composite construction strikes the perfect balance between graphite sensitivity and fibreglass durability for the rough-and-tumble world of offshore fishing.
The 26 BG Bluewater receives a significant upgrade with Fuji guides now fitted across the range, providing the line management quality and durability serious anglers expect, paired with EVA grips and rubber gimbals that combine to deliver strength and control during long fights from gimbals and rod holders.
