Description
The Penn Ally Deep Drop Bent Butt Electric Rod is a purpose-built deep drop rod engineered specifically for pairing with electric reels, delivering the strength, durability, and torque handling needed for serious offshore missions. Built on a rugged tubular E-glass blank that stands up to the strain of big, hard-fighting fish, the Ally is fitted with premium Seaguide stainless steel guides featuring zirconium inserts and a PacBay machined aluminium roller tip that maintains large knot clearance and reduces line friction.
The all-aluminium PacBay bent butt is machined from marine-grade anodised aluminium with reverse-knurled locking nuts to prevent scratching during transport or storage, whilst the integrated reel seat keeps electric reels firmly secured under heavy load. A tail-end gimbal ensures the rod stays planted in gimbal holders during prolonged battles, and non-slip EVA grips withstand long days under sun and saltwater spray whilst providing secure hold when the pressure is on.
Purpose-built for deep drop fishing targeting prized Aussie deepwater species including bar cod, flame tail snapper, ruby snapper, and more.
