Tef-Gel Corrosion Eliminator And Anti-Seize Lubricant Tube 10g is a specialist PTFE-based gel formulated to prevent galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals, stop stainless steel fastenings from galling and seizing, and protect electrical connections from corrosion in marine environments where salt water acts as an electrolyte between metals such as aluminium and stainless steel. The high-viscosity gel is applied to fastenings, fittings, and connectors before assembly, creating an isolating barrier between dissimilar metal surfaces that prevents the electrochemical reaction responsible for galvanic corrosion, whilst simultaneously lubricating the fastener for ease of assembly and future disassembly. The waterproof formula resists wash-off even in the harshest conditions, maintaining its protective properties throughout the service life of the assembly.
Tef-Gel is non-toxic, chemically stable, and has an indefinite working temperature range from -60 to 280 degrees Celsius without changing viscosity, making it suitable for use across all areas of a vessel including engine bays, deck hardware, and electrical systems. The compact 10g tube applies a little product goes a long way - a small amount of gel on each fastener is sufficient - making this tube an ideal on-board maintenance tool for preventing the most common and frustrating causes of marine hardware failure.
