I hope everyone enjoyed a little time off over the Easter break. By now, I’m guessing there aren’t too many Easter eggs left in the basket.
Looking forward into the Easter break, it’s looking like it’s going to be a cracker for any outdoor activities around the Bundaberg area. A good weather forecast has predicted light winds and sunny days for most of the break.
The good news for the Bundaberg area is that all our local rivers are back to normal river heights and there was minimal damage as ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie passed down the coast.
Well, we have seen some interesting weather this week from Cyclone Debbie. She left her mark up north and dumped some rain along the coast as it moved inland.
Last weekend saw a good offshore forecast for the Bundaberg area, allowing a lot of big boats to head offshore. Those who put in the time and effort were well rewarded with some quality reef fish.
How good was it last weekend to see some great offshore fishing weather around Bundaberg region?

What a difference a bit of good weather makes! With the lighter winds last weekend, it was awesome to see so many people out and about making the most of what Bundaberg has to offer.
The past week has seen some ups and downs in the weather around the Bundaberg area, with a mix of wind and some patchy rain. Unfortunately the wind has been enough to stop any offshore fishing, but most of the rivers and creeks have still been fishing well.
It’s been another great start to the year on the fishing scene around the Bundaberg region.
Unfortunately the south-easterlies are predicted to pick up to around the 20-25 knots this weekend, restricting any offshore fishing trips.
