Earlier this week saw end of the annual barramundi closure, so as of midday on the 1st of February, we can now target barramundi in the salt water.
The forecast for this weekend for the Bundaberg area is looking not too bad, with light to moderate easterly winds predicted.
After a short period, when we were unable to offer fishing reel service and repairs, we are pleased to advise that this service is available once again.
Rod repairs were not affected and continue to be offered as normal.
This week around the Bundaberg area, we finally had a break in the weather, and it was awesome to see the bigger boats get out and take advantage of the good conditions.
Well, we sure have had an interesting week of weather around the Bundaberg area, with a few showers of rain and plenty of wind. Unfortunately the wind is tipped to hang around for a few more days, so there will be no offshore fishing for almost a week.
From all the Team at Tackle World Bundaberg, we hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and are looking forward to seeing in 2017 in style, hopefully with some new fishing gear that Santa may have left under the Christmas tree.
Well, Christmas is almost here and by now Santa should have all his gifts wrapped and ready for his annual trip around Australia this year.
Well, the fishing around the Bundaberg area has improved this past week. Maybe it was the small amount of rain we had, so the coming weeks will tell, and more rain won’t hurt.
With the school holidays set to start this weekend, and Christmas only a few weeks away, this is always a magic time to wet a line around the Bundaberg region.
