With a bit of luck, this weekend’s forecast isn’t looking too bad for the Bundaberg area. The south-easterlies are predicted to blow less than 15 knots, which may present a small window for the bigger boats to explore the wider grounds.
Wasn’t it great to finally see some decent weather earlier this past week? By all reports quite a few Bundaberg locals made time to wet a line last weekend.
There were a couple of good days of weather earlier this week around the Bundaberg area, allowing some boats to head out and along the coast.
I hope everyone enjoyed a little time off over the Easter break. By now, I’m guessing there aren’t too many Easter eggs left in the basket.
Looking forward into the Easter break, it’s looking like it’s going to be a cracker for any outdoor activities around the Bundaberg area. A good weather forecast has predicted light winds and sunny days for most of the break.
The good news for the Bundaberg area is that all our local rivers are back to normal river heights and there was minimal damage as ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie passed down the coast.
Well, we have seen some interesting weather this week from Cyclone Debbie. She left her mark up north and dumped some rain along the coast as it moved inland.
Last weekend saw a good offshore forecast for the Bundaberg area, allowing a lot of big boats to head offshore. Those who put in the time and effort were well rewarded with some quality reef fish.
How good was it last weekend to see some great offshore fishing weather around Bundaberg region?
Even though the tides were big, some quality fish were caught. Plenty of coral trout, sweetlip, parrot, hussar and a few red emperor were all caught.
