Looking at the latest forecast, things around the Bundaberg area may come good for some offshore fishing, so fingers crossed. Also, keep an eye on the latest forecast before heading out, as the predicted northerlies can be unpredictable.
The first week of spring is always a magical time of the year around Bundaberg. As the water temperature starts to rise, so should the fishing with some quality mangrove jack already starting to smash lures and baits.
Now we are in the last week of winter, the days should start to warm up and more of the summer species like mangrove jack and barramundi should start to fire up over the coming months.
Looking at the forecast, it’s going to be a “wait and see” kind of moment to see if the weather around the Bundaberg area holds out for some offshore fishing.
Well, the forecast for the Bundaberg area for this weekend is looking good with Saturday being the better of the two days.
The offshore fishing forecast for the Bundaberg area is not looking so flash for the weekend, so up the rivers and creeks it is. Luckily enough most of the rivers and creeks are fishing well.
This is generally a magic time of the year to get out and wet a line around the Bundaberg region.
At this stage the forecast for this weekend is looking good, but please check the forecast the day before you’re intending to head offshore.
Finally, the weather forecast for this weekend looks favourable for the reef fishermen to venture out to the outer reefs off Bundaberg.
Luckily enough we had some magic days around the Bundaberg area earlier in the week, and it was great to see that quite a few boats made the most of the calm conditions, catching some quality reef fish and the odd billfish on the grounds out a little wider.
