Well, the rain we’ve had around the Bundaberg area lately has sent all the rivers fresh and pushed all the fish down to the river mouths and out along the beaches.
Well, the past week has seen some pretty ordinary weather around the Bundaberg area, with wind, rain and more wind!
The weather just won’t let up, so most of the fishing has been done in the creeks, rivers and dams, which have all been fishing well.
Well, it’s been a very ordinary week for fishing around the Bundaberg area.
Wind, rain and more wind, has meant that offshore fishing was out and we have been left to fish the rivers, creeks, beaches and dams.
Finally, the rains have eased around the Bundaberg area and the fishing is still great.
The local rivers have just come to life again with some small bait prawns, mullet, and herring, etc.
Well the mackerel are finally here. We have seen some beaut catches of mackerel come from both the inshore and the offshore reef areas.
Well we struck a good bit of weather over the weekend and a lot of boats headed offshore. The fishing was a bit tough but those who put in the time and effort caught their share of fish.
The flow down the Burnett River from the recent rains is starting to slow down and a bit of salty water is starting to push back up river, and so are the fish. There has been a good number of bream about, mainly around the rocky areas.
The fishing around the Bundaberg area has slowed down a bit due to the recent rains which have caused most of our rivers to flood and they’re all running fresh.
Well, we have seen our share of rain in the Bundaberg area this week, which has put a nice amount of flow back into the Burnett River. This should kick the food chain along again.
