The weather sure is warming up around the Bundaberg region, and some of the summer species are well and truly on the chew.
Well, the weeks just keep passing us by and summer is fast approaching us. The warmer water temperatures have got some of the summer species on the chew already.
With the warmer weather upon us the fishing action around the Bundaberg area is starting to heat up. All the local river and estuary systems will have plenty to offer in the coming weeks. The offshore reefs are also producing, providing the winds are favourable.
The offshore fishing has been limited due to weather conditions, as well as the recent Coral Reef Fin Fish closure. The closure has now lifted, so we’ll see what the weekend bring regarding the weather.
Well, the weeks keep slipping by and the fishing is still fantastic around the Bundaberg area.
The Coral Reef Fin Fish Closure starts on the 12th of October and runs until the 16th so offshore fishing is out, but the dams and estuaries are fishing well.

Well once again we’ve seen a week of near perfect weather that gave a lot of boats the opportunity to head offshore. The smaller tides that we have had during the week have made fishing conditions to almost as good as it gets; and there were some fantastic fish caught.
Well the weeks just keep passing us by, but the fishing has still been great with most of the rivers producing some red hot fishing sessions. There still has been a good number of big bream about. The lure guys are having a ball catching the big bream on blades and soft plastics.
