The offshore fishing around the Bundaberg area will be limited this weekend, due to the weather conditions and also the first of the Coral Reef Fin Fish closures, which will be in place from the 10th to the 14th of October.

With fresh south-easterly winds once again predicted for the Bundaberg area, to spoil any offshore action this weekend, it looks like any fishing for the last weekend of the school holidays will be restricted to our local rivers and impoundments.
The weather forecast for this weekend does not look too bad. Once again the winds be up around 10 – 15 knots from the South East, but we should have a better idea of how this will pan out as we get closer to the weekend.
With the weather forecast not looking great for this weekend with fresh south-easterlies predicted, fishing will be restricted to our local rivers and dams which are both producing some nice fish.
Hope all the Dads have recovered from Father’s Day last Sunday and made the most of the magic weather we experienced around the Bundaberg area last weekend.
This weekend it looks like it will be all systems go around the Bundaberg area for our local rivers and dams.
Unfortunately we will just have to wait and see what the offshore forecast shapes up to be.
With the first signs of summer starting to show up, the warm northerly breezes are starting to lift the water temperatures around the Bundaberg area. The only downfall with the full moon will be the amount of run in the tide for the offshore anglers as there will be over three metres difference
For this weekend, keep an eye on the forecast for the Bundaberg area. At this stage, light east north-east winds under 15 knots are predicted, so it looks like a great chance to get out on the water and enjoy what the weekend has to offer.
Isn’t it great that the days in the Bundaberg area are slowly starting to warm up, and before long it will be time to start chasing the summer species like barramundi and mangrove jack.
The weather forecast for the Bundaberg area for this weekend looks like it will be okay, but the winds will be slightly stronger than the previous two weekends. This will restrict most of the action to the close inshore reefs and the local rivers and dams.
