Well, the first week of 2016 has started off with a bang. By the sounds of it, most anglers were keen to get out on the water and all reports we’ve heard this past week suggest most people started 2016 in style, landing some really nice fish.
Hopefully, everyone had a very merry Christmas and with a bit of luck Santa has brought you some new fishing gear so you can kick of 2016 in style.
Well, Christmas is not very far away now. Unfortunately, Santa might have a bit of a wet and bumpy ride over the Bundaberg area on his annual trip this year.
At this stage showers and east-south-easterlies are predicted over the few days of the Christmas break.
Well, the weeks have flown by and Christmas Day will be here before we know it. I hope all the children on school holidays have been good, and maybe Santa will leave some new fishing gear under the tree for them this year.

This weekend in Bundaberg, the annual Across the Waves Fishing Classic promises to be bigger and better than ever. This year there’s over $25,000 in prizes and lucky draws, and two boat, motor and trailer packages to be won.
Finally, the Bundaberg area received some well-needed rainfall. It’s amazing how we can go from dust to lush green grass in only a couple of days.
Good news is that the wet weather has got the mud crabs n the move with some nice crabs caught last week.
