The annual Volunteer Marine Rescue Family Fishing Classic will be held over this weekend at the VMR base at Burnett Heads. This year there is over $50,000 in prizes including two boats to be won.
During the past week the weather around the Bundaberg area has been a little up and down, but by the weekend it looks like the showers will have cleared with a fine weekend predicted.
Unfortunately, the weather forecast for the Bundaberg area for the coming weekend doesn’t look great. The south-easterlies are predicted to strengthen towards the end of the week and ease a little over the weekend, restricting any fishing to the local rivers and dams once again.

Now things have settled down from last weekend’s weather event, this weekend looks much better at this stage for the Bundaberg area.
Luckily enough we experienced a run of fantastic weather around the Bundaberg region last Friday and Saturday, and at this stage it looks like this weekend will be just as good. There is some rain predicted, but this should clear just in time for the weekend.
