Now that Bundaberg is experiencing a few cooler mornings, some species as barramundi and mangrove jacks will slow down. You will still get these fish, but you will have to work harder for them.
Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter/Anzac break this year. It was great to see that heaps of people got out and made the most of the fantastic weather conditions around the Bundaberg area over that period.
Hope everyone enjoyed the Easter break this year. The weather around the Bundaberg area over the past week or so was just magic with light winds and glassed out seas. Some anglers have reported that it was the best it had been for years.
Hope everyone enjoys the Easter break ahead. It was good to see that most areas around Bundaberg received some welcome follow up rain to top up the rainwater tanks and help the farmers.
Over the past week or so the winds around the Bundaberg area have been up and down.
With predicted 10-15 knot east-south-east winds for this weekend around the Bundaberg area, we might be fishing the protected estuaries and local impoundments.
With a bit of freshwater in the systems from recent rains, a change of tactics might be on the cards.
The weather conditions around the Bundaberg for this weekend look reasonable at the moment. With the winds expected to ease on Saturday, all forms of fishing should be worth a go.
With so many fishing destinations in and around the Bundaberg area, it’s hard to decide just where to wet a line.
With the winds around the Bundaberg area expected to ease to under ten knots this weekend, this should give the offshore boats a window of opportunity to venture out and try to re-stock the freezers with reef and pelagic species.
