With the winds around the Bundaberg area expected to ease to under ten knots this weekend, this should give the offshore boats a window of opportunity to venture out and try to re-stock the freezers with reef and pelagic species.
With strong winds predicted all week, again we will be restricted to impoundments, estuaries, rivers and creeks. With that being said, there are fish to be found in the protected waterways.
With moderate south-easterly winds and a few showers forecast for the Bundaberg area this weekend, I would suggest fishing the local estuaries and impoundments. Both have been fishing very well during the past week.
This weekend looks like estuary and impoundment fishing around the Bundaberg area will be worth a go. With the wind expected to pick up towards the end of the week, offshore fishing might be out of the question.
Still the wind is with us for yet another week, with no end in sight. Once again the anglers around the Bundaberg area will be restricted to fishing the protected estuaries and the local freshwater impoundments.
With the tropical low/cyclone in far north Queensland, we now have some very ordinary weather upon us, so the fishing around the Bundaberg area will be rather restricted. It’s a good time to explore your estuary systems and try areas away from your normal spots.
Well, with the ordinary weather we’ve had around the Bundaberg area as of late, fishing has been mainly restricted to creeks and estuaries, especially with good runs of prawns in most systems.
A small break in the weather earlier this week saw a few of the bigger boats heading offshore from Bundaberg. Most were well rewarded with quality fish including some beaut red emperor, coral trout, tuskies and plenty of Spanish mackerel.
